René Lohse injured, withdrawal of the Europen Championships

Kati Winkler and René Lohse will not participate at the European Championships from February 2nd to 8th, 2004, in Budapest, Hungary.

René Lohse injured his inner ligament in his right knee at the training session last monday. To prevent a more serious injuring René is not allowed to put any strain on his knee for a few days. Afterwards he can start with physical therapy. They are going to restart on-ice training in about two to three weeks.

When the recovery is increasing well the German Champions hope to start at the World Figure Skating Championships to be held in Dortmund in March 22nd to 28th, 2004.

Breaking News, 12.10.2003:

Kati & René congratulate Michael Schumacher on claiming an historic sixth Formula One world championship title this Sunday at the Japanese Grand Prix!

It was his fourth successive title for Ferrari and he surpassed the record of the legendary Argentine Juan Manuel Fangio.

René, who is a big Formula One fan, once tried it himself but couldn't match in any way with Michael. :-)

Kati enjoys more the fun factor of this kind of sports. :)

Well, please forgive me this litte humorous item. :) The photos are from this year's fanclub meeting in Oberstdorf.

Enjoy the report from Ulrike Weber and many many more wonderful photos from Ines Pape, Manuela Schmiedtgen und Katja Fischer. (in German)
