Thank you for your time!

Hello Dana,
that question doesn't need to be answered from Kati and
Rene. I can give you the address directly.

Hi,
I am looking for a piece of skating music "The Meadow Robin
Opera"
Can you help?
Thanks,

Hi Mike,
the problem is that I don't know the composer. That makes
it difficult to search for. But I have a web site for you
where you can try to find it.
http://joshua.micronet.it/italian/mariobiondi/opere/diz_opera_.html
Maybe it will help you. And besides that I know that Suria
Bonaly (FRA) skated to that piece in exhibitions.
Good luck! And take care!
René
Congratulations for your performance in Nice.
I liked very much your choreography and music.
I'm not a technical specialist but what have impressed me
is that "you have class". Bravo.
And I have a question about it. I think I have recognized
"Rachel's song" but it was followed by some choir. I have
looked on this site under "skating music" and can hardly
believe that it was something from DP DeeJay Parade. The
speaker said something by Puccini. Would you like to be
so kind to tell me what it was.
Thanks in advance. Greetings

Hello, Elisabeth!
The music of our last free dance had a few pieces:
First part from Faithless, second part you recognized right,
was Rachel's Song, we just had to play Triangle under it,
to have a steady rhythm, because this is in the rules.
And the last part was from DP DeeJay, a modern Techno sound.
The effects we had made in a studio and some effects we
found from the soundtrack of the movie "PI".
Best wishes and greetings to you, you were completely right!
Kati and René
Hi Kati and Rene,
Congratulations on your 5th place finished at the European
Championships! How does this finish change your skating
perspective? What is your goal for the up coming Worlds?
I love your free and original dance. It's the most innovative
programs I've seen all season. In your latin dance, you
seem to get into the theme of the latin movement, does this
come naturally? Good luck at worlds. I will be cheering
you on. I hope we get to see you perform on T.V in the U.S.
Aloha,
Kris
Hawaii, U.S.A - Friday, March 10, 2000 at 07:46:16 (MET)
Hi, Kris
Thanks for your Mail and congrats for Europeans.
Our perspective didn't change a lot now with this fifth
place in Europeans, we just want to go on, and on, and on...
For worlds we hope, we can also reach fifth or sixth place,
that's our goal. Thanks, that you like our programs, for
the Original Dance we worked a lot with ballroom-dancers,
but we also love the latin movements, they are fast and
we can move everything, that's why we like it so much. You
can express a lot of happiness!
So, bye for today and best wishes from Kati and René
Aloha :-))
I just saw your free skate performance at I think the
Worlds. I loved the blue/silver costumes, very original.
There was a piece of music about in the middle that I loved.
I found on your site where it lists the music, but I can't
figure out which ones it was. I am a massage therapist and
play very relaxing and soothing music and just loved the
one in your free program. From that program, can you determine
which it was that I liked? Like I said, it would be one
that we be good while getting a massage.
Good luck!

Hi Julie,
Tanks for surfing to our site and for the complements. The
song, which you like, is from the soundtrack of "Bladerunner".
The name of the song is: "Rachel's Song", composed by Vangelis.
We hope, we could help you.
Take care, René & Kati
Hi Kati and Rene,
Now that you finish both Grand-Prix events, what is your
impression about your results? Finishing 2nd at Nations
Cup is a real accomplishment, how do feel about how your
skating is going? Is there any improvements or changes that
you're going to make before Europeans and Worlds? How do
you feel about the judging so far? I really enjoy your free
dance. It's very innovative, beautiful and unusual.
Aloha,

Aloha Kris,
after the two Grand-Prix Events we are really happy, more
with the performance in Gelsenkirchen then in "Skate America",
because even in the two weeks between Colorado Springs and
Gelsenkirchen we did some changes in the Original Dance.
The first competitions are always good, to see our standings,
what we still have to work on and which changes our programs
need.
So from now on we are working especially on our free-dance
to bring out more the expression of "time" and to bring
more difficult footwork, especially in the slower part.
So still a lot of work to develop the programs.
With the judging so far we are o.k., we are happy, that
for the first time the Italians could beat a Russian couple
in Colorado Springs, because we saw it the same way.
So, we are thinking our skating is going the right way,
we will work hard until Europeans and worlds, to improve
technically.
Bye for now and best wishes from Kati & René
What do you guys do now that you have had your first
event and maybe did not do as well as you had hoped? I hope
things work out better for you the rest of the way.

Hi, David,
maybe the first event didn't go that well for us, but we
didn't feel ready for "Skate America".
In the two weeks between Colorado Springs and Gelsenkirchen
we worked hard and did some changes in the original dance
and it went much better then in Gelsenkirchen for us, without
mistakes.
Now after Gelsenkirchen we concentrate a lot on the free
dance to improve it technically, because the idea is o.k.
we just need a lot more footwork and we have to work out
more the choreography for our theme "time goes millenium".
So still a lot of work, to develop and improve the programs.
Bye for now and best wishes from Kati & René
I saw that Lina asked you in July about next season
choice of music, but you haven't made the choise by that
time. I wonder how far you had come with now. Is the FD
and OD ready now ? What kind of music have you choosed for
the FD ?
I must say that really apprechiate your FD:s from 97/98
and 98/99.

Dear Lina,
thank you for your complements.
Our theme for this year will be "Time goes Millennium".
We try to express the phenomenon "Time" with the direction
into the next century/millennium. We wanna show it in a
very positive way and express fun and party on the ice,
which ends in a firework at a happy new year party.
Bye and all the best!
René
Aloha Kati and Rene,
I was just wondering what have you been working on this
summer? Like your main focus to improve from last season.
Also do you have any main rivals? I hope that any music
or theme that you pick will work beautifully. I'm also very
excited that you are Skating at Skate America. I hope to
see you on T.V. Good Luck and hope you'll do well in the
future.
-Kris
P.S The weather in Hawaii is okay. It's gets sunny and breezy.
But very beautiful. I bet Germany is the same. You should
come to Hawaii someday.

Kati & René: Thank you Kris for you nice words!
Yes in fact, we kept working to improve for this year, but
of course it will be very difficult to do that in the placement.
So we try to be as good as possible for our own feeling
and we will see what will be possible this year.
In Germany there are not so strong rivals, so we have to
focus internationally!
For the Free dance we chose the theme: "Time goes Millennium",
where we try to express the phenomenon "Time" with an outlook
into the next century/millennium. We are thinking positive
about the millennium-change, and that is why we are happy
on the ice and make party, which ends in a firework.
bye, Kati and René
I really loved your program last season, it was original,
fun and very good and you performed it very well!
I wonder what music or theme you will have next season,
if you have decided yet.
I wish you the very best of luck the comming season!

Kati & René: Hello Lina,
at present we have not made the final decision regarding
the new free dance music yet. We are still trying out some
different pieces to find the best music for our new theme.
The preparations are going on well and we think that we
will decide very soon.
Best wishes, Kati & Rene.
Aloha Kati and Rene,
First of all, thank you for answering my first question.
I was excited when you did. You are certainly the most kind
and most beautiful skaters I know. Anyway my question is
I saw your name in the Sparkassen Cup web-site as participates,
what other Grand-Prix events are you taking part in? Well
good luck next season and in the future. I know you'll do
well in the next season.
Mahalo Nui Loa,
Kris

Kati & René:
Thanks for writing us back.
Next season we will take part beside Sparkassen Cup in Gelsenkirchen
in "Skate America" in Colorado Springs from 27.10-31.10.99.
We love to skate in the States, because the people are more
enthusiastic about skating then here in Europe, so we are
looking forward to "Skate America"!
We wish you all the best and hope you have more sun then
we have here in the moment in Germany...
Greetings from Kati & René
